Direct Care Staff (Part- and Full-Time) - Austin, TX
Austin Recovery provides affordable, effective and compassionate drug and alcohol treatment since 1967. We are currently seeking both full- and part-time dedicated direct care staff to work various shifts depending on current needs at our facility in Austin, Texas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor clients during non-structured intervals
- Promote and ensure client safety at all times
- Organize and supervise recreation activities and in-house meetings, such as study groups and client meetings
- Facilitate Step study lessons
- Facilitate clients self-administration of medication and reconciles medication inventories
- Transport clients to and from appointments and meetings
- Respond to problems and crisis according to facility procedures and behavior management guidelines
Qualifications:
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Must have a working knowledge of 12-Step support groups (AA/NA/CA)
- Must have interest and knowledge in chemical dependency
- Must have the ability to model appropriate boundaries
- Must have a valid Texas driver's license
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
