Driver

Austin Recovery provides compassionate and effective drug and alcohol treatment since 1967. We are currently seeking a full time Driver.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform all driving functions for the various four program unit(s)
• Transports clients to & from designated locations as needed.
• Run errands in support of administrative, clinical, and direct care staff
• Maintain vehicle records and routine maintenance.
• Pick up and deliver mail from all four locations.
• Perform additional related assignments as directed by Program Director(s).

Qualifications:

• Valid Texas driver’s license and a clean driving record required.
• Knowledge of Austin driving routes and familiarity with traffic patterns and pertinent locations where driving will be performed.
• Ability to establish trust and rapport and serve as healthy role model for clients in recovery.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Previous driver job experience preferred.

Physical Demands/Work Environment:

• Communicates orally with management, co-workers and the public in face-to face, one-to-one, and group settings.
• Regularly uses a telephone for communication.
• Uses office equipment such as computer terminals, copiers, and Fax machines.
• Sits for extended time periods.
• Drives company vehicle for extended periods of time.
• Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
• Uses hands to finger, handle and feel and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to stand and walk.
