Receptionist (Full-Time)

Austin Recovery provides affordable, effective and compassionate drug and alcohol treatment since 1967. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Receptionist.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Answer and route telephone calls
  • Schedule meeting rooms for agency
  • Record and route messages some via Outlook e-mail
  • Greet incoming clients and visitors
  • Sort and Distribute mail. Send/receive packages
  • Log incoming checks
  • Maintain petty cash fund
  • Maintain records for employee meal tickets
  • Assist with logging Incident Reports.
  • Distribute AR Mugs to all residential sites
  • Maintain inventory/sales of AR Store
  • Maintain and distribute the Employee Extension List
  • Assist as back up to Medical Records Clerk as needed
  • Assist accounts payable as needed
  • Maintain the employee forms in the receptionist area
  • Assist prospective employees with applications for Human Resources Dept
  • Receive/log client money and personal items
  • Assist Executive Asst. during peak times (Sustainer’s Luncheon/Christmas mail out)
  • Complete filing assignments, copying tasks and data entry
  • Completes assigned filing assignments, copying tasks and data entry
  • Performs other related assignments as directed by the Manager of Contract/Billing and Outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to answer and route phone calls on a multi-line phone system with a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Must be detailed orientated with excellent oral and written communication skills. Customer Service experience preferred.
  • Must have advanced computer skills (Excel, Word and Access).
  • Good organizational and office equipment skills.

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma of GED preferred.
  • One year of office/clerical experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 Physical Demands/Work Environment:

  • Communicates orally with management, co-workers and the public in face-to face, one-to-one, and group settings.
  • Regularly uses a telephone for communication.
  • Uses office equipment such as computer terminals, copiers, and Fax machines.
  • Sits for extended time periods.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
  • Uses hands to finger, handle and feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to stand and walk.
