University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work. Austin Recovery and the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work (UTSSW) have long collaborated to provide cutting-edge chemical dependence training through field placement of masters-level students, as well as research opportunities for doctoral students. In addition, Austin Recovery, UTSSW's Professional Development Program and Gulf Coast Addiction Technology Transfer Center co-sponsor an ongoing workshop series titled "Issues in Addictions" that provides five continuing education training programs per year for behavioral health professionals in Central Texas.
Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. Austin Recovery is a learning environment for Texas A&M Health Science Center (TAMHSC) medical students through a clinical affiliation with the center's Round Rock campus, providing clinical training in the field of chemical dependency treatment. Through the partnership, Austin Recovery and TAMHSC promote both high-quality patient care and education, as well as personal and community health through education.
