Austin Recovery's Programs
Austin Recovery is located in Austin, Texas, and is now the largest drug and alcohol treatment center in Texas. We offer detox and separate men and women’s campuses for our Short-Term Treatment (approximately 30 days) and Journey (90+ days) programs. Our Family House helps moms seeking recovery by allowing them to bring two children under the age of six with them to treatment at our recovery center. We also provide intensive outpatient services and support for our alumni with yearlong aftercare and family groups. We ensure clients leaving treatment have a solid discharge plan with recommendations and referrals for sober houses, meetings and support in their community.
The quality and professionalism of Austin Recovery’s treatment and facilities are what we are known for, and through the generous gifts we receive from foundations and a growing number of individuals, we are able to provide this level of care at rates that are accessible. But don’t take our word for it, check out what our clients and their families say in these testimonials.
Beginning the Journey...
Austin Recovery’s detox is staffed with medical doctors (addictionolgists) and nurses. Although not everyone needs to go through detox, Austin Recovery provides a full continuum of care and it is available for those who need it. Our detox program provides a safe and closely-monitored withdrawal from physically addictive substances like alcohol, prescription pain medications, anxiety medications, muscle relaxers, sedatives, heroin, methadone and more. Our doctors and nurses work closely with you to determine the best plan of treatment for your situation. Typically a stay in detox is about seven days.
Once detoxed, the recovery journey can truly begin. It is generally recommended that the client transfer directly into residential treatment.

Most smokers have thought about quitting, and many have even tried. Unfortunately, despite the well-established knowledge of the negative health consequences of both first and second hand smoke, many tobacco users are still unable to quit. As addiction treatment professionals here to help our clients establish healthy lifestyles, we would like to make the transition away from tobacco a realistic and obtainable goal for our clients. Austin Recovery continues to be dedicated in helping all of our clients and staff achieve abstinence from tobacco, working towards becoming a completely tobacco-free agency for all campuses’ clients, staff and visitors. In preparation for this change, we currently offer multiple avenues for clients to quit using tobacco, including limited smoke breaks, in the easiest and most comfortable ways possible. Tobacco cessation will eventually be completely integrated into clients’ treatment plans as they recover from alcohol and drug addiction. Click here for more information.
