Outpatient/Aftercare

Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient Treatment is offered for clients who are able to stay clean and sober on their own but are at high-risk for relapse. Austin Recovery’s Intensive Outpatient Program helps clients create a stable environment by giving them structure and support while they establish a solid foundation for recovery. It is often a beneficial step-down from the highly structured environment of inpatient/residential treatment and helps clients adjust gradually to their new way of life. Intensive Outpatient is generally seven weeks long.

Aftercare

After successful completion of drug and alcohol rehab treatment, clients may continue with a weekly schedule of counseling and relapse prevention classes through Austin Recovery’s Aftercare Program. The Aftercare Program provides an opportunity to receive support from a counselor and from peers in early recovery, which adds to their sober support system. It also helps transition to using a 12-Step support group to learn about the practical experience of staying clean and sober. The group is a place to ask questions, share your experiences and develop healthy interaction skills.

Austin Recovery’s Aftercare Program includes eight meetings and a minimum of two individual sessions. Family counseling is available. Aftercare groups meet at multiple locations.
