Visitation & Driving Directions

Visitation

Visitation is encouraged from family members and others who will be part of your recovery support system. Visitation is for friends and family who are on the visitation list* and who participate in the MANDATORY family program (as well as Family Cross Talk for the Women's Voyage and Family House programs).  See the Visitation Schedule by program below:

For all locations, children under 12 are allowed to join for visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. (and must arrive by 2:30 p.m.).

Please note: Clients must have completed at least 7 days of residential treatment in order to participate in visitation (this includes clients transferring from detox into residential treatment).  Visitation is not allowed in detox or prior to these days of treatment minimums unless permission is granted by the client's primary counselor.

The following items may be brought to clients during visitation: money, stamps, sealed medication, diapers, wipes and formula. Other items may be mailed or dropped off anytime other than visitation day.

*The visitation lists are determined based on client’s therapeutic needs and are mutually agreed upon by both the client and the client's counselor.  The list protects a client’s confidentiality, safety, and therapeutic needs during treatment.

Driving Directions

Visitation for men's and women's Voyage clients at Austin Recovery is held at our Edith Royal campus. Visitation for men's and women's Awakening and Journey clients is held at the Hicks Family Ranch. Get driving directions to any of these treatment facilities.
