Sunday Sermons
Each week The Prodigal Sunday night communion service meets at Austin Recovery at 6 PM. Austin Recovery's Chief Executive Officer, Father Bill Wigmore, generally delivers the sermon. Fr. Bill is an ordained priest in the Episcopal Church with a specialized ministry to alcoholics and addicts. The service is open to all members of the 12 Step-community and to their families. Attendance by clients in residency is voluntary. The purpose of the weekly gathering is simply to "thank God for recovery."
Sermons are available on-line and you are welcome to reproduce them for distribution. They are also sent to a growing list of prisoners incarcerated for drug or alcohol related crimes.
