▲ I see this button on several pages. What is it?

CareFlash is a unique type of online social networking called a CareCommunity that helps enhance outcomes via the power of community. Austin Recovery appreciates very well the role friends and loved ones can play in helping nurture better outcomes. This applies as much with wellness challenges and throughout recovery, as with injuries and illnesses and this is why we make CareFlash available. CareCommunities are invitation-only and prove great for helping friends and loved ones overcome emotional barriers and the tendency most people have in distancing themselves and limiting interactions to well-wishes and messages of support.

▲ Is cigarette smoking permitted at Austin Recovery?

Smoking is permitted for clients in designated outdoor areas during break times, however, Austin Recovery is a tobacco-free facility for all staff, visitors, and guests.  Tobacco use is not permitted anywhere on the grounds at anytime for anyone besides clients at this time.

Effective April 30, 2012, Austin Recovery will be a completely tobacco-free agency, and will prohibit tobacco use on our property for all clients, staff and visitors. In preparation for this change, we currently offer multiple avenues for clients to quit using tobacco in the easiest and most comfortable ways possible. Beginning April 30, 2012, tobacco cessation will be completely integrated into clients’ treatment plans as they recover from alcohol and drug addiction.  Click here for more information.
