Austin Recovery outpatient programs accommodate work and school schedules.
Individual & Group
Our outpatient and aftercare programs allow for individual and group cognitive behavioral therapy, experiential work, and 12 step integration.
Trauma Informed Care
Trauma and addiction often come hand in hand and our programming is empathetic and responsive.
Our outpatient and aftercare programs accept insurance, sliding-scale and payment plans, and state funding.
Austin Recovery Outpatient & Aftercare – Edith Royal Campus
Austin Recovery’s intensive outpatient program helps clients create a stable environment by giving them structure and support while they establish a solid foundation for recovery.
It is often a beneficial step-down from the highly structured environment of inpatient/residential treatment and helps our clients adjust gradually to their new way of life.
Outpatient programs are offered during the day for women only and at night for both women and men. Program duration is 8 weeks, for a total of 24 classes. We also provide more traditional supportive outpatient services for our clients to visit their Austin Recovery therapist at regular intervals, and receive the behavioral therapy they need to overcome an addiction and stay on the track of recovery.
After successful completion of drug and alcohol rehab treatment, clients may continue with a weekly schedule of counseling and relapse prevention classes through Austin Recovery’s Aftercare Program. The Aftercare Program provides an opportunity to receive support from a counselor and from peers in early recovery, which adds to their sober support system. It also helps transition to using a 12-Step support group to learn about the practical experience of staying clean and sober. The group is a place to ask questions, share your experiences and develop healthy interaction skills.

Austin Recovery Mobile Outpatient Programs
In the summer of 2018, Austin Recovery launched supportive outpatient programs and assessments at two partner locations: Mobile Loaves and Fishes Community First! Village and People’s Community Clinic.*
Community First! Village
Austin Recovery has an on-site outpatient clinic for neighbors currently living in the Community First! Village built by Mobile Loaves and Fishes. Our counselor works directly with neighbors who have motivation and interest in recovery and is available to talk one-on-one with those who are considering sobriety.
People’s Community Clinic
Austin Recovery has a counselor who does individual assessments and supportive outpatient classes at People’s Community Clinic’s main clinic. The counselor works directly with clinic staff to address clients who identify as high risk or are presenting signs of addictive behavior.
*Services at the mobile outpatient locations are not available to the public. For public outpatient programs, please call admissions at (512) 697-8600.
